Robertson leads Day One

Matt Robertson led Day 1 of The Champions bass fishing tournament on Old Hickory Lake near Nashville, weighing five fish for 20 pounds and taking a 4-pound, 9-ounce lead over Fisher Anaya. The event features 60 Bassmaster and Major League Fishing pros competing for a record $3.25 million purse, including $1.25 million for first place. After Friday’s weigh-in, the top 15 anglers advance to Saturday’s final, with competitors navigating a rule allowing forward-facing sonar on only one of the first two days.
