Big 12 admits wrong call

The Big 12 acknowledged officiating errors in BYU’s games against Notre Dame and Arizona State, including a clock ruling that denied Notre Dame a final play and a touchdown incorrectly awarded to BYU. A separate clock-management error affected BYU’s game against UCF, which the Cougars ultimately lost in double overtime. The mistakes have intensified scrutiny of college football officiating ahead of BYU’s rivalry game against Utah, which could affect the Big 12 title race and playoff picture.
