Houthi Attacks Kill 45 Yemeni Troops
A Houthis’ attack on military sites in Yemen resulted in the death of 45 government forces personnel in Hadramout and Marib, and left 80 others injured. The militias launched strikes using ballistic missiles and drones against military camps and units, including sites operated by Yemeni Emergency Forces established to support the government with backing from the Saudi-led coalition, aiming to secure the borders and frontlines. These attacks come amid ongoing conflict between the Yemeni government and Houthi militias, despite the ceasefire brokered by the United Nations in 2022. The United States and regional military measures condemned the attacks, emphasizing the security challenges facing the country.
