Bahrain joins Lausanne Agreement
Bahrain has officially joined the International Classification of Designs and Industrial Models Agreement, launched in 1968 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). This step aims to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights in Bahrain through a unified and international classification of various categories of designs and industrial models, facilitating registration and search processes while promoting innovation. The classification includes 32 main categories and 219 subcategories and is used for submitting applications through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, thereby enhancing the level of protection for industrial products and encouraging the development of industries and intellectual products in the country.
