The Spanish authorities have announced that they will bury the bodies of 80 migrants found following the wave of mass migration to Ceuta, as efforts continue to identify their identities through fingerprint collection and DNA sampling. The results indicate that many of them died due to cardiac and respiratory arrest, and most of the bodies remain unidentified, with matching attempts ongoing through database comparisons or DNA analysis. Missing persons reports are being submitted by the families of the victims. The authorities are organizing efforts for identification and legal procedures in accordance with protocols for mass casualty incidents. They emphasize that all bodies will be buried in Ceuta in the coming days unless a specific body is requested to be repatriated to its home country, in a manner respectful of the victims' religious beliefs.
