Ahmed Al-Ghannam introduces Al-Fijri rhythm globally
The article discusses the activities of Bahraini musician Ahmad Al Ghanim at the 2026 National Flute Association Conference in Portland, USA. He performed the piece "Al Hasawi," inspired by the maritime Fijri musical style linked to the history of pearl diving in the Arabian Gulf. I chose this piece because it reflects his vibrant and fast-paced rhythm, expressing Bahraini and Gulf musical heritage. Its aim is to promote Gulf music globally through a prestigious international platform. The piece was well received by the audience, and the Ensemble 126 participated in its performance, contributing to highlighting the rich cultural and artistic identity of the Gulf.
