Al Iraqy Confirms No US Negotiations
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that his country is not currently engaged in any negotiations with the United States, but is only exchanging messages through intermediaries. He emphasized that talks are impossible unless Washington ceases violating agreements and compensates Iran for its previous violations. He also pointed out that the negotiations with Oman concern establishing a new maritime route in the Strait of Hormuz; efforts are underway to replace the old routes in light of recent military developments. Iran has set six conditions for opening the strait, including correcting U.S. actions and finalizing an agreement. Conversely, Washington reaffirmed its intensified pressure on Iran and expressed its expectation of eventually reaching an agreement to restore oil shipments through the strait.
