The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain has launched the "Genome Guides" program as part of the activities of City of Youth 2030. The initiative aims to raise awareness of genomics among young people and to develop their knowledge in future healthcare fields. The program seeks to familiarize participants with the National Genome Project, the fundamentals of genetics, and the applications of artificial intelligence in genomic medicine, as well as modern clinical and genetic treatments. This aims to prepare a qualified generation to support the healthcare sector. The program is part of the government's efforts to build a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and advanced health sciences, in collaboration with Tamkeen, the Labor Fund, to promote genomic literacy and develop national expertise in the healthcare sector.
