Israeli airstrike kills five in Gaza house

Five Palestinians, including four women, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in western Gaza City, targeting the Al-Asalah building in the Rimal neighborhood. Civil defense and Al-Shifa Hospital reported that the martyrs are Maria Hafiz Michel Al-Najjar and her mother Maysa Abu Daoud, as well as Yasmine Al-Bobo and her mother Haloum Al-Bobo, and the young man Bilal Khalil Awwad. Several people were injured, and the apartment sustained significant damage due to being hit by two rockets and a fire breaking out. Two funerals were held for the victims at Saint Porphyrios Church. The Christian community in the Gaza Strip is estimated to number around a thousand, mostly Orthodox. The Palestinian government and international organizations continue to condemn the Israeli escalation in Gaza.
