Zelensky vows to strike Russian refineries

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv will respond to Moscow's new policy of launching broader attacks on civilian targets by targeting Russian oil refineries. This is in response to Russia's escalation of attacks on civilian infrastructure aimed at pressuring the population. He emphasized that Ukraine will continue defending its territory and progressing through its military counteroffensive in the Donbas region. Zelensky pointed out that Russia is targeting vital infrastructure, while Ukraine has expressed its intention not to randomly bombard civilians. He also confirmed that there are documents proving that Putin issued directives to carry out wider attacks on civilian targets before winter, in an attempt to increase pressure on the Ukrainian population and territories.
