Kanoo Plaque Unveiled

Capital Governor Sheikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa unveiled a commemorative mosaic in Manama honoring Abdulrahman Jassim Kanoo, founder of the Abdulrahman Kanoo Educational Group, and recognizing his contributions to education and community service. Created over the course of a year in collaboration with Bahrain Bricks, the mosaic involved students, teachers, parents and members of the community. It measures 16 by 20 feet and is made up of around 500,000 building pieces assembled into 1,833 main sections. The governor said the initiative celebrates Kanoo’s legacy in education and social, cultural and sporting work, while introducing younger generations to his life and to the values of giving and social responsibility.
