Four-Year Team Revival
Bahrain Football Association president Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said Spanish coach Félix Sánchez’s project spans four years and aims to build a strong, refreshed national team. Sánchez was selected after a review of the team’s performance over the past decade and an assessment of previous coaching staffs. The plan is to improve the team’s performance and gradually refresh its squad, while giving young players opportunities and making use of the experience of current players. The project aims to prepare the team for the World Cup qualifying campaign, scheduled to begin in September 2027.
