UAE saves crew after fire
The UAE National Guard rescued 22 people of Arab nationalities after a fire broke out aboard a cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman. It provided them with first aid before handing them over to the relevant authorities, confirming that their condition was stable. The rescue followed a report from the ship’s crew to the Coast Guard, which located the vessel and reached it. On November 7, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an incident involving a bulk carrier and military forces about 18 nautical miles east of Khor Fakkan. Details of the damage and the crew’s condition remained unknown, and investigations were ongoing.
