The defendant in Al-Sharqiya Governorate was convicted of killing her 65-year-old husband. She assaulted him with a concrete block while he was asleep due to marital conflicts, then set his body on fire to ensure the evidence was concealed. The accused claimed that she was under the influence of magic spells at the time of the crime and indicated that she attempted to mislead the authorities by alleging that masked attackers had raided the house. She has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation, and her trial continues as part of a case that has garnered public attention.
