Hussein Fahmy revealed the behind-the-scenes details of canceling his honoring of Adel Imam at the Cairo Film Festival. He pointed out that the change in the timing of the leader's (Adel Imam's) overseas visit led to the cancellation of the tribute, which caused a cooling of their relationship for a period. However, they later reconciled and resumed working together. He also confirmed that canceling the tribute was the right decision, citing the example of Fouad el-Mohandes's honoring, which he considers a successful and respectful model.
