Japanese farm sells eggs with white yolks

A Japanese farm in Hokkaido produces eggs with pale or whitish yolks, called "Kumetsuya eggs," using a special diet based on rice, fish, rice bran, and scallop shells. This unique diet gives the eggs a distinctive appearance and a silky texture. These eggs are considered a luxury product in Japan and are used in traditional dishes. According to the producers, their nutritional value is comparable to that of conventional eggs with orange yolks. While the primary market is Japan, the product is also exported to other Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
