The Giza Criminal Court sentenced a butcher to 15 years in prison for kidnapping a 16-year-old minor girl, with the purpose of forcing her father to accept their informal marriage. The defendant exploited his romantic relationship with the girl and engaged in an illicit relationship with her after she ran away to him, despite knowing that she had not reached the legal age. He continued pressuring her to run away with him to Alexandria. Investigations confirmed that he exploited her youth, which he confessed to having done, although he expressed remorse for his actions. A medical report showed that the girl was still a virgin and had not sustained any injuries.
