The Syrian police managed to solve the mystery of the theft of actress Mona Wassef's house in Damascus. Evidence was collected from cigarette butts left by the thief at the crime scene, which helped identify and apprehend them. The investigation revealed that the suspects entered the house non-violently using a counterfeit key and stole $185,000, 100,000 dirhams, as well as jewelry and other valuables. The suspects confessed to carrying out the theft and admitted that they spent a large portion of the stolen goods on purchasing real estate and a luxury car. Authorities have also recovered part of the money and assets.
