Andrew Mohsen, the new artistic director of the El Gouna International Film Festival, announced his vision for developing the festival while maintaining its current stature. He emphasized that the challenge lies in enhancing diversity and ensuring integration among the festival’s different sections, without making radical changes to the programming team, which has proven to be successful. He also focuses on developing the "Sini Gouna" platform to organize specialized workshops, and launching a new section for drama called "Sini Gouna Series," aimed at supporting the drama industry and strengthening the festival’s position as a global destination for Arab cinema. He looks forward to the tenth edition in 2027 becoming a significant milestone in elevating the festival’s international reputation.
