The home of Syrian actress Mona Wasef was burglarized last March while she was away from Syria. The thief and his wife entered the house using a copy of the keys, without breaking in or arousing suspicion. A portion of the stolen valuables, including a significant amount of money, was recovered after investigations revealed that the main suspect and his wife had disposed of the evidence and buried the money. The suspect also purchased real estate and a car with the stolen funds.
