Queen Mother Mary's health worsens her daughter steps in
Norwegian Queen Mette-Marit faced new health complications following the lung transplant she underwent in June. As a result, she withdrew from participating in some official events and has had to cease appearing in public. Her daughter, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, attended the opening of the Norwegian Parliament on October 2nd on her behalf, as the Queen was unable to attend due to a respiratory infection and a worsening of her health-related issues. Although she remains in the rehabilitation period, which could last up to a year, her condition still requires careful medical monitoring.
