Joy Awards Postponed to 2027
Reports indicate that Saudi Arabia is considering canceling the upcoming edition of the "Goy Awards" entertainment ceremony scheduled to take place in January 2027 in Riyadh. This comes amidst a reshuffling of spending priorities and a review of budgets allocated for culture and entertainment, with no official announcement made thus far. This follows the postponement of the Red Sea International Film Festival in December 2026, reflecting the current shifts in the kingdom's approach to reevaluating major events based on logistical and financial considerations.
