Adel Imam's waving photo sparks social media
A photo was circulated claiming to show Egyptian actor Adel Imam inside a car, which caught public attention due to his recent absence from media appearances. However, investigations confirmed that the image is authentic but has been altered using artificial intelligence technology. Manipulation was done to the features of Indian screenwriter Saleem Khan (father of Bollywood star Salman Khan) in the photo to make him appear as though he is Adel Imam. The original picture depicted Saleem Khan in Mumbai during a family event, and his features were digitally modified to create the impression that it was recent and taken on Adel Imam's granddaughter’s birthday. Nonetheless, the artist's family categorically denied that the image is recent or that Adel Imam has been seen outside his home lately. It is worth noting that the widespread circulation of the image was driven by the public's ongoing interest in the artist, especially given his recent absence from the spotlight, which fueled misunderstandings about his health and whether the image truly showed Adel Imam.
