Tupac Shakur murder trial concludes
Nearly 30 years after the murder of American rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996, a court in Las Vegas has sentenced Dwayne "Keffe D" Davis to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Davis was convicted of orchestrating the armed attack that led to Tupac's death. The judge ordered Davis (63 years old) to serve a sentence ranging from 40 years to life, after being found guilty of first-degree murder with a firearm and orchestrating the attack, despite not directly firing the weapon. Members of Tupac's family were present during the hearing, expressing their ongoing pain and grief since the death of their brother, emphasizing that life lost its meaning after the shooting. The details of the crime date back to September 1996, when Tupac was shot in Las Vegas. Although Davis was not the shooter, the prosecution convicted him of orchestrating the attack and supplying the weapon, based on previous statements and mentions in his writings. It was expected that his defense team would file an appeal, as the case remains ongoing three decades after the death of one of the world's most iconic hip-hop artists.
