Egypt Sets Record for Women’s Squash Rankings
Egypt's squash national team achieved a historic milestone by breaking the world record for the duration of their players holding the top spot in the women's world rankings. The total time spent at number one reached 129 months, surpassing New Zealand, which previously held the record with 127 months. This achievement reflects Egypt's continued dominance in international squash, thanks to the outstanding performances of Egyptian women in global tournaments. The October 2026 world rankings featured Egyptian Amna Fathi at the top, while Hania El Hammami maintained her position, with many other Egyptian players among the top ten. These figures underscore Egypt's strength in squash and its status as one of the leading countries worldwide in women's rankings over this period.
