Abu Dhabi Wildlife Conservation Network Launched
The Environment Agency in Abu Dhabi has launched the "Abu Dhabi Wildlife Rescue Network," aiming to improve response times and coordinate efforts to protect wildlife in the emirate. The network features an integrated digital system for recording and assessing cases of injured or trapped animals, and dispatching field teams for intervention and rehabilitation, followed by releasing the animals back into their natural habitats after recovery. The network is built upon the agency's extensive expertise since 2016 and includes the rescue of various species such as sea turtles, sea snakes, dugongs, dolphins, and birds. It also promotes scientific collaboration and the conservation of biodiversity in Abu Dhabi.
