The makers of *Ashmawy*, scheduled to air during Ramadan 2027 and directed by Peter Mimi, have settled on Mohamed Ramadan for the lead role, alongside Bassem Samra, Esaad Younis, Yousra El Lozy, Entesar, Walid Fawaz, Hanaa El Shorbagi, Mohamed Abdel Hafez, Jessica Hossam El Din, Youssef Raafat, and Essam El Saqqa. Ahmed El Sakka and Mohamed Sami will also make special appearances. Mohamed Ismail Amin is writing the screenplay, after Ahmed Mourad withdrew from the project. Ramadan plays Khalifa, an executioner whose life is turned upside down when his daughter faces a severe crisis, drawing him into a human and legal conflict. The series marks Ramadan’s return to the Ramadan TV season after a three-year absence, following *Jaafar El Omda* in 2023.
