Stars back Zaki after row
Several prominent artists and industry figures have voiced support for Ashraf Zaki, head of Egypt’s Actors’ Syndicate, following a dispute with actress Lekaa Sewidan, who filed an official complaint accusing him of wasting public funds and violating the rules governing the management of the syndicate’s money. Supporters—including Yousra, Nelly Karim, Nabila Ebeid, Riham Abdel Ghafour and Amir Ramses—praised his work for the syndicate and his support for artists. Ramses also said he trusted Zaki’s integrity. The support comes amid allegations, and the text does not state the outcome of the investigation into them.
