Lebanese actress Razan Jamal spoke about her participation in the film "Lion," which is currently being shown in cinemas during Eid al-Adha 2026. She pointed out that her choice for the role came after great interest from director Mohamed Diab, who looked for a character that would offer a different presence from the world presented by Mohamed Ramadan in the film. She also noted that she prepared intensively by reading about the era of slavery and the social conditions of that time. Additionally, she mastered the Egyptian dialect by residing in Egypt and undergoing training. Throughout filming, she faced challenging conditions, including high temperatures and action scenes, but she praised the spirit of cooperation among the cast and crew. She emphasized that the film surpasses many international productions and reflects issues that remain relevant in today's world.
