UAE Advances Climate Action on Environment Day

The UAE celebrated "World Environment Day" in 2026, focusing on advancing climate action through national strategies for carbon neutrality by 2050, planting 100 million gum trees, and banning single-use plastic bags. It also launched projects to protect ecosystems and develop natural reserves, in addition to supporting global sustainability and environmental responsibility efforts, with the goal of reducing emissions and promoting the transition to clean energy.
