Princess Marie Met awaits lung transplant

Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway has been placed on the lung transplant waiting list due to her deteriorating health condition caused by chronic lung disease. It is now expected that she will undergo a transplant after a comprehensive medical evaluation. The royal palace stated that her condition is serious and that she will not carry out her official duties, which led to the cancellation of her 25th wedding anniversary celebration and her scheduled official visit in September. She has been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis since 2018.
