Congo bans gatherings before protests
The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has banned gatherings in four provinces, including Kinshasa, in an effort to combat the Ebola virus outbreak, which has claimed the lives of 360 people out of 1,274 cases. Meanwhile, the country is experiencing political tensions due to opposition attempts to organize protests and measures that could pave the way for extending President Félix Tshisekedi's term.
