The Johannesburg Stock Exchange is anticipating the listing of Nigeria's Dangote Refinery, which has completed its initial public offering in Nigeria, with subsequent plans to list shares in South Africa. The group aims to raise $5 billion through the offering, making it one of Africa's largest listings. It also plans to raise approximately $500 million from the Kenyan market. The refinery, which cost around $20 billion and began production in 2024, is the largest refinery in Africa, with a processing capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation owns a little over 7% stake.
