Syria has approved the payment of compensation worth approximately $845,000 to cover the losses of around 1,700 farmers whose lands and crops were damaged by natural disasters in Idlib, Aleppo, Quneitra, and Tartus provinces. This decision comes after an assessment of damages caused by heavy rains, flooding, strong winds, and in some areas, a tidal wave. The compensations include farmers from the affected regions, with lists being prepared and the dues transferred through branches of the Agricultural Bank, aiming to support the agricultural sector and mitigate the economic impact of the disasters.
