Inni and BB near Egypt gas project decision

Italian company Eni and British company BP, in collaboration with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, are moving towards making a final investment decision regarding the new offshore gas field "Denis West" in Egypt in the coming months. It is expected that initial supplies from the field will begin in less than two years, following its discovery announcement in April. Additionally, the project will play a key role in enhancing Egypt's position as a regional energy trading hub in the Eastern Mediterranean, with plans to liquefy gas from the Cyprus-based "Cynos" field at the Damietta LNG complex for re-export to global markets.
