Aqil Al-Shaibani Named Tourism CEO

Aqeel Al-Shaibani has been appointed as the CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, effective September 1, 2026. Previously, he held the position of Deputy Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up at the Ministry of Tourism, and contributed to developing the national tourism strategy and implementing multiple strategic initiatives to enhance the tourism sector in the kingdom. He possesses extensive experience across various fields, supporting the Authority's efforts to develop the tourism industry and achieve its future objectives.
