The Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research and the UK’s Advance HE, at the Council’s headquarters in University City. The memorandum aims to develop the emirate’s higher education sector through collaboration in professional development, leadership, teaching enhancement and building academic capacity, as well as through workshops, seminars and the exchange of expertise. It also enables institutions to adopt the Professional Standards Framework for teaching in higher education and explore institutional membership, supporting their integration into international academic networks and access to global benchmarking.
