Kazakh Film Week Opens
The Dubai Media Council and the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Dubai have launched Kazakh Film Week as part of the “Dubai Cinema Nights” initiative, marking Kazakhstan’s Republic Day. The event runs from 6 to 8 November at Reel Cinemas in Dubai Mall. The programme features the musical film *In the Embrace of Happiness*, which celebrates the legacy of composer Shamshi Kaldayakov, and the sports drama *The Beginning*, about two brothers given the chance to change their lives through sport. The week aims to introduce Dubai audiences to Kazakh culture and cinema, and to strengthen cultural ties and partnerships between the two countries.
