Binance announced the departure of its chief financial officer, Kaiser Ng, and the appointment of Justin Yik as his successor, amid reports of a cyberattack that led to the theft of digital assets worth more than $6 billion. The company said the departure had been planned six months in advance and that, after more than five years at the platform, Ng had decided to pursue a new professional opportunity. The new CFO faces the potential fallout from the breach for the platform’s financial position and user confidence, as well as expected regulatory scrutiny.
