The "Tahya Masr" terminal at the Damietta Port was completed at a cost of approximately 9.5 billion Egyptian pounds after three years of work. It is considered one of the most modern container handling terminals worldwide. The project is the result of an investment partnership between the Damietta Port Authority and an international consortium comprising companies from Italy and Germany. The terminal is equipped with 16 massive cranes with lifting capacities of up to 110 tons, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and reducing handling time to about 28 containers per hour. Additionally, Egyptian labor demonstrated high efficiency in managing and operating the terminal in accordance with global standards.
