South Korea evacuates ships from Hormuz
The South Korean Ministry of Oceans reported that eight of its ships have departed the Strait of Hormuz as a precautionary measure due to escalating security tensions in the area, while five other ships remain with a total of 47 crew members onboard. An incident of gunfire occurred on a cargo ship while crossing the strait, leading to the suspension of the convoy evacuation plan and a reassessment of the security situation, amid concerns about a possible escalation that could threaten international navigation safety in the region.
