Hezbollah Secretary-General Claims US-Israel Project Defeated
Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, confirmed that the American-Israeli project in the region has been broken, considering that Lebanon has entered a new phase of resilience and confrontation. He stated that Israel aims to occupy Lebanon, not solely as a result of rocket attacks. He also emphasized that Iran has managed to reach a memorandum of understanding that can be considered a declaration of America's and Israel's defeat. Furthermore, he asserted that the Israeli occupation option must come to an end and that Israeli forces must withdraw unconditionally and without delay. Qassem's remarks come amid an escalation of Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2026, which has resulted in the death of 4,230 people and the displacement of over a million, despite an American-Iranian agreement to halt military operations in the region.
