June 26 marks Egypt's historic World Cup shift
On June 26, the tenure of Hector Cuper with the Egyptian national team is remembered as coming to an end after their participation in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He led the team to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years. Although the team lost in the tournament and entered the end of an era, Cuper managed to bring the national team back to the continental and international spotlight, including reaching the Africa Cup of Nations final in 2017 and reaffirming Egypt's position on the major football stage. Today, attention shifts to the team's achievements under the leadership of Hossam Hassan, who achieved Egypt's first historic victory in a World Cup and is close to qualifying for the Round of 16. This reflects the development of Egyptian football and marks a new chapter of competition and ambition.
