Shoubir: Egypt to Lift Laishin Suspension for Australia
Sports analyst Ahmed Shobir revealed that the Egyptian national team is planning to submit an official request to FIFA to cancel the yellow card received by Mohanad Laqeen during the Iran match in the 2026 World Cup. This step comes because the card was threatening the player's participation in the upcoming match against Australia. Egypt currently holds the second place in their group after drawing with Iran and is hoping to avoid missing out on the next round due to suspension. Additionally, medical examinations showed that injuries to players like Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, and Hamdi Fathi are not serious, and they are close to returning for the upcoming matches.
