Devis prepares for debut with Canada versus South Africa
Canadian soccer player Alphonso Davies is preparing to participate in his first World Cup match during the 2026 tournament, facing South Africa in the Round of 32 scheduled for Sunday at Los Angeles Stadium. The Canadian team, led by coach Jesse Marsch, hopes to have Davies back after recovering from a muscle injury, as he is one of their key players and team captain. The results of the group stage have qualified both Canada and South Africa to this historic stage for the first time for both teams, with Davies aiming to lead the team in their first-ever knockout match.
