Committee to clear Shibin El Qanater River

Videos have circulated showing a crocodile inside the water of the Al-Hisafa village drain in Shebin El Qanater Center, Qalyubia Governorate, which has caused concern among residents. A committee from the Environment Agency, the Veterinary Medicine Department, and the Irrigation and Drainage Directorate has been activated to follow up on the matter. A cleanup of the drain was carried out, but the crocodile has not been found so far. Residents are worried about its proximity to residential areas or the potential danger it could pose to children and agricultural lands. Efforts are ongoing to verify the report and to carry out any necessary hunting procedures if its presence is confirmed.
