Al-Azhar President on Flood Verse and Qur'an Rhetoric

The President of Al-Azhar University stated that the details of the end of the flood in the Qur'an are concise, as they are mentioned in only one verse in Surah Al-Ankabut, despite the story of Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) being discussed in multiple places. He emphasized that the use of different styles—sometimes brief, sometimes detailed—reflects one of the facets of the Qur'an's rhetorical miracle. It also highlights God's absolute power in managing events, through a linguistic structure that employs the passive voice to affirm that all planning and control are in God's hands.
