The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hani Sweilam, received a report about a boat sinking in the High Dam Port area in Nasser City. Water samples were collected, and the results showed that the water quality was not significantly affected, with only a limited impact on dissolved oxygen levels due to a diesel leak. The diesel spill has been contained within the site, and legal measures are being taken. Coordination with relevant authorities is ongoing to continuously monitor the situation. The Minister has also directed the convening of an emergency meeting of the National Water Council to ensure ongoing coordination and follow-up.
