Gold prices in Egypt experienced a continuous decline throughout the past week, reaching their lowest level since December 2025 at approximately 5,620 Egyptian pounds per gram. This represents a 4.88% drop from the beginning of the week, resulting in a loss of over 1,100 pounds since the start of June. The price broke the psychological level of 6,000 pounds before slightly recovering and closing above it. The 21-karat gold price fell to 5,780 pounds, marking an overall weekly loss of 295 pounds. This was the first annual decline since the beginning of 2026, following several factors that exerted pressure on the local market.
