Saint Catherine Welcomes the "New Generation" in a Journey to Foster Belonging and Discover Cultural Treasures

The South Sinai Antiquities Area hosted a delegation from the "New Generation" Initiative under the patronage of the President of the Republic, with the goal of promoting national awareness and highlighting Egypt's heritage, especially St. Catherine's Monastery, one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage sites. The focus was on the "The Great Manifestation" project, which aims to develop the city and enhance its tourism and religious significance through infrastructure improvements, development of site informational tools, organization of cultural events, and engaging the local community in heritage preservation. The project seeks to stimulate domestic tourism, raise community awareness, and protect the environment, with an emphasis on sustainability in preservation and fostering a sense of national pride among the new generations.
